Akure, Ondo State — August 12, 2026: Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has received Miss Ogunsemore Roseline Kenny, President of the Ilaje Ulenuse Progressive Union and Coordinator of the Ulenuse Movement, at the Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, where they discussed issues affecting the development of Ilaje and Ondo South.
According to Roseline, the meeting lasted several hours and focused extensively on the condition of infrastructure and social services in Ilaje Local Government, particularly healthcare and education.
She said she presented the Governor with concerns arising from visits by her Ulenuse Movement team to healthcare facilities in the area, identifying Idiogba, Gbabijo and Orioke-Iwamimo Health Centres as being in critical condition.
Roseline further disclosed that Governor Aiyedatiwa told her that funds had already been provided for the renovation of healthcare facilities in the state.
The Governor reportedly made an immediate telephone call to a person responsible for the renovation, placing the call on loudspeaker. According to Roseline, the official confirmed that the renovation would commence soon.
She said the Governor specifically directed that the Idiogba, Gbabijo and Orioke-Iwamimo Health Centres receive urgent attention and instructed that the facilities be inspected, with feedback provided to her.
Roseline also drew attention to the condition of the Idiogba Health Centre, which she said still lacks adequate protection from rainfall, and appealed for immediate intervention.
The Ilaje advocate said she would now monitor the implementation of the promised rehabilitation and continue to demand accountability until the projects are completed and delivered for the benefit of residents.
During the meeting, Roseline also raised other issues concerning the development of Ilaje and Ondo South, reaffirming her commitment to advocacy on behalf of the people.
She described Governor Aiyedatiwa as receptive to her concerns and expressed appreciation for his willingness to listen and respond to the issues raised.
“I will continue to advocate for my people because Ilaje deserves better,” she said.
Roseline also thanked the Governor for giving her a listening ear and for taking the concerns of the people seriously.
The meeting comes as Governor Aiyedatiwa was preparing to travel to Osun State ahead of the forthcoming Osun State election.
