The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the Ondo State Civil Service, in a move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and service delivery across the state.
The approval was contained in a press statement issued on Monday, February 9, 2026, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
According to the statement, the newly confirmed and appointed Permanent Secretaries are:
Mrs Tayo Ogundare; Mrs Morayo M. Bayo-Philip; Adeyemi Sule; Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi; Olanrewaju Abiodun; Tope Lebile, mni; Stephen R. Aworere; Omotayo Akeju; Olufemi Moyinolorun; Olakunle Ajibade; Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi; Bamidele Daisi; Engr. Akinluyi Omotola; Olumide Kinga; Mrs Ope Adetoye; Olusiji Olatunji; Mrs Oluseyi Odusola; Mrs Funke Adelayi; Dr Akindele Ige; Olanrewaju Akarakiri; Dr (Mrs) Abike Ilawole; Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo; Kolawole B. Kayode; Dr Peter Akingbade; Ayodeji Ogudare; Adeduro Niyi Akinbola; Engr. Ibidapo Ojo; Olusegun Orisabinone; Surv. Idowu A. Owolabi; Adeoye O. Atibioke; Mrs Toyin O. Awotoye; and Ayodeji Ayeku.
In addition to the Permanent Secretaries, Governor Aiyedatiwa also approved the confirmation of two officers into key statutory positions.
Mr Olusola Sunday Ajayi was confirmed as Statistician General of Ondo State, while Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape was confirmed as Auditor General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The appointments and confirmations take effect from February 1, 2026, according to the statement.
The Governor congratulated the appointees and charged them to bring professionalism, integrity, and commitment to their duties in line with his administration’s agenda of effective governance, transparency, and improved public service delivery.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed and confirmed officers, the statement added, will be held on a date to be announced later.
